WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – A new film project is scheduled to kick off next week in Wilmington.

A film permit states A true love will begin filming at 1938 S. Live Oak Parkway on October 11.

Scenes filmed that day included a family welcoming a missing loved one into their home and media coverage of the reunion in the front yard.

According to Variety.com, A true love is a film adaptation of a Taylor Jenkins Reid bestseller. The website reports that Phillipa Soo (original cast of “Hamilton”), Simu Liu (responsible for Marvel’s “Shang-Chi”) and Luke Bracey (Netflix’s top-rated vacation game “Holidate”) are all on board. .
