The Red Cross and Red Crescent Migration Network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA Migration Network) was established in March 2021 by 15 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the MENA Regional Office of the IFRC and the ICRC Regional Office for the Near East.

The Network aims to strengthen and share the expertise and experiences of National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies working with and for migrants, including refugees, their families, host communities, in order to better meet their protection and assistance needs, identify humanitarian problems, improve their resilience. , and strengthen regional coordination and the impact of the CRCR Movement on migration.

The MENA Migration Network works alongside Movement partners to share the expertise and experiences of its members in countries of origin, transit, destination and return. It operates through a shared vision and goals, to provide strategic guidance around capacity development, including activities such as peer learning, evidence generation and knowledge management, coordination and advocacy and engagement in the delivery of innovative programs and services.

The MENA Migration Network is a regional space for better coordination and interaction on migration with movement partners and other relevant organizations, including, but not limited to, United Nations agencies and / or local NGOs. and international.
