Bilbao Exhibition Center has obtained the seal of official international recognition from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism for five of the exhibitions in its program. Certification came by the Official State Gazette (BOE) in the Official Calendar of International Trade Shows for 2022. The status of “Total internationality” for the five shows is important for for customs purposes and authorizes state support for participation in these national trade fairs.
The designation of Total internationality brings together exhibitions that meet a series of criteria set by the ministry; this involves in particular having organized at least three editions of the event and having 10% of foreign exhibitors or 5% of foreign visitors. Certified fairs must also have the support of the sector, work with new technologies and have a favorable report from the Territorial Directorate of Commerce and the ICEX.
In this category of Total internationality can now be included the craft fair Tendencias Creativas, the first event of the 2022 calendar, which will take place from 3 to 6 February; and the WindEurope trade shows, one of the benchmark events of the European Wind Energy Association, scheduled from April 5 to 7; Addit3D, the additive manufacturing and 3D show, which will coincide with the BIEMH International Machine Tool Biennial, from June 13 to 17; and Egurtek, the International Forum on Architecture and Timber Construction, to be held October 19-20.
The certificate of Total internationality also allows companies from outside the European Union to temporarily display their products without having to pay customs duties.
The same advantage also applies to salons that are part of the group Internationality for customs purposes. This second group includes the fairs open to the general public, Gustoko, scheduled from March 4 to 6, and Expovacaciones, which will take place from May 6 to 8; and, with them, the event aimed at the industrial application of digital technologies, which will be held from June 13 to 17, BeDIGITAL.
