IMG hired former Sky Sports General Manager Barney Francis to serve as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Production, overseeing the production of events such as EUFA, FIFA and EFL football matches, the Ryder Cup and the US Open tennis, among others.

Owned by Endeavor, IMG works with sports leagues and federations, as well as television networks and rights holders, to produce program coverage around live sporting events.

IMG’s co-chair for media and events, Adam Kelly, said in a statement that Francis would be a “transformative hire for our media company.”

Francis will also work with Graham Fry, president of production at IMG, who will retire in 2022.
